I took him out to dinner, to Buffalo Wild Wings (or B-Dubs, as it's more commonly referred to around here) for some wings and margaritas. It was good times. Saturday was also my (gay) friend Jordan's birthday. You might remember the hat (nonravelry link) that I was knitting for him, which he loved, btw. =) So a big group of us (including the boyfriend) went to a gay sports bar. It was a good time, and we played Cornhole (which opens up all kinds of jokes...). Afterwards, there was White Castle (yuck). Jordan and others decided to go to a gay dance club, while the boyfriend and I were tired and wanted to go home and spend a little quality time together and sleep.
We also ended up all taking a shot of tequila. Patron. It was pretty amusing, and also tasty. =) Afterwards, the boyfriend leans over and says "I can't feel my legs." lol He's such a cheap drunk!
After lunch we went to see The Dark Knight at the IMAX theater and it was amazing! Heath Ledger was sooo good in it. It's such a shame that he died, this could have been his breakout role. It was so different that anything else he's done, and he did and amazing job.
Unfortunately the boyfriend has to be gone from me for another week, staying with his family in Pataskala so he can work (It's about 45 minutes away, so too far to drive every day to work at Subway). So I am alone again this week. =(
Also unfortunately, no pictures because he took the laptop with him and I have no nets at home.
In knitting news, I'm almost finished with my first sock for the Ravelympics! I've enjoyed knitting it so far. Working/turning the heel took me a little while to figure out (What, you don't knit on those stitches? What, you turn the work in the middle of the row?!). But it's going well and I'll have it finished tonight, I think.
I also started a new project (The boyfriend and I have deemed me a 'knitting whore' since I have such a hard time with project monogamy.. lol "How many projects is that now, dear?"). I frogged my OSU swatch scarf because.. well.. I didn't like it. lol So I cast on August is for Jack (nonravelry link) with the same yarn. I really like it, I've not really worked with slipped stitches before, which is what creates the box pattern and it's easy and knits up fairly quick. I got about 7 or 8 inches in last night (While watching Season 2 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer).
Oh, I also learned that you burn 100 calories an hour, sitting and knitting! So you don't have to feel so bad about sitting on your bum! ;-)
Anyhow, that's about it for now. I may try and take some cell phone pictures of my sock and scarf so I can put 'em up here. Maybe. ;-)
TTFN!
