Nomination and Frustration

The post office is stupid.*

Anywho, Courtney over at Knitting Siamese nominated me for a Kreativ Blogger award! I'm honored! =) If you haven't checked out her blog, then you really should. She just finished a Noro Cardigan that is just beautiful!

There are a few people on my list of bloggers that have already been nominated and I won't be re-nominating them.

Rules:

1. Copy the award to your site.
2. Link to the person from whom you received the award.
3. Nominate 7 other bloggers.
4. Link to those on your blog.
5. Leave a message on the blogs you nominated.

And my list:

1. Risa at One Crazy Fiber Lady

I found her blog through the blog ring and I've enjoyed reading it ever since! She knits, spins, weaves, and single handedly raises twins! Props to her! She just finished a lovely Selbu Modern beret that I love. =)

2. Gabriella at SweetP Knits

Last year she knit tons of fun things for her family and kids, but this year it's all about her! She just finished the O W L S sweater, as well as a hybrid, both of which turned out lovely! I've enjoyed seeing all of her projects and swap packages the past couple of months.

3. Aija at sock pr0n

She's hardcore! I mean, when it comes to fiber. ;-) Even though I don't spin, I enjoy reading all of her pointers about it. Sometime I hope to apply all of that knowledge! She's working her way through a stash of amazing rovings and fleeces, making beautiful yarn that she knits up into beautiful things!

4. The Knitty Vritti

I think I stumbled onto her blog via the blog ring, also. She's doing the 12 sweaters in 12 months challenge! Whew! So far so good, her January sweater was lovely, I love the cables! She's currently working on a lace project and another cabely sweater.

5.Opal at the Akamai Knitter

Opal is a wonderful spinner who also has a great talent for jewelry making. She's been making the most gorgeous jewelry with wire and beads. You can buy some of her creations at her Etsy shop! Go check it out. =)

6. Erika at Redshirt Knitting

I found her blog through Ravelry, and her posts are pretty amusing so I added her to the Blog Roll. I especially love her Sims Sunday posts! She has a few patterns for sale and is currently working on the Rambling Rows afghan(Ravlink) to bust her (formidable) Cascade 220 stash.

7. Cosy at cosymakes

Cosy is lucky enough for her full time job to be all about fiber! She has a couple of Etsy shops, as well as a published book. In November she came to Columbus for a craft festival and I offered to let her stay at my apartment instead of booking a hotel, seeing as the festival was about 5 minutes away from my place. I was also lucky enough to score some of her handspun which is squishy and delightful, I highly recommend it if you're in the market (Who's not in the market for yarn?!).

Thanks again, Courtney! =)

*I had planned on showing you some Swappy Goodness after I had picked it up from the post office today. Guess what? I got there and there was a sign on the door "Sorry we're closed today 2/17/09". @#&^#@*&%@#!! >.> What, a 3 day weekend wasn't enough? Bah! I'm sure my package has been sitting in that post office since Saturday, when it was probably 'processed'. Saturday is when I got my notice saying to pick it up on 2/17. Well, it's 2/17 and your dumb post office is closed! D=

Yay for new blogs to read! I'll check them all out tonight when I've finished my homework. It'll be my reward for being a good girl and studying like I should. ;) Can't wait!
