Photoless

I haven't had a chance to take any photos. It's been a busy week, and today it's raining. It is supposed to be nice tomorrow, however and I'll try and take some pics then.

I was really hoping to knock a bunch of projects off of my WIP list over spring break last week, because I knew that I wouldn't have a lot of extra time this quarter (I don't). But, that didn't happen. I didn't finish anything. I wanted to finish Ishbel, Hey, Teach!, and the Campanula mitts that have been sitting around since like November.

But you all know the story with Hey, Teach! (Ravlink here). And it's currently sitting around, waiting for me to reknit the lace part of one of the fronts (after picking apart the seams and ripping it out, of course). Even though it's going to be a chore, I'm going to try and finish it this weekend because I really want to wear it. We'll see, though because I'm going to try and read a novel this weekend (We'll see how that goes).

I'm onto the edging of Ishbel (Ravlink here), however I made a mistake on it so I need to tink back about half a row so it's sitting in time out for now too.

I cast on for the Leyburn socks (Ravlink here) last weekend in Cleveland with my Mountain Colors Barefoot (Ravlink here). It's a semi-solid and so far I like it, although I think the Leyburn socks lend themselves better to variegated yarns. The yarn is soft and fuzzy and I think will be wonderful when it starts to get cold again.

I barely thought twice about the Campanula Mitts (Ravlink here). I do plan on finishing them, though... eventually.

I'm trying to knock these projects off my list before I start anything else (well, except for the Leyburns).

Last week (with my birthday monies) I *did* purchase a set of Harmony Interchangeables along with some Shine Sport(in a gorgeous turquoise) for Decimal (Ravlink here), and I cast on the sleeve. However, I made a mistake in the lace already so there hasn't been more than a few rows knit on it.

In other news, I'll be reading approx. 2 novels/week for school. =/ (That doesn't leave a lot of extra time for knitting)

Sounds like you need to start a Log Cabin blanket! It's mindless garter; I can knit garter and read at the same time.

Looking forward to your Hey, Teach.
