So here are the pics of the amazing yarn my SP Catherine sent me!
Noro Silver Thaw, Wool/Angora/Cashmere Nylon blend.
I've already made this from it:
Campanula Mitts
Yeah, as much as I've said that fingerless mitts are dumb (they don't keep your fingers warm!) I decided to make a pair. There will be a matching hat.
JaggerSpun:
Catherine's note said it was 50/50 Wool/Merino, but I think she meant Silk/Merino because it has a really nice shine to it. It's gorgeous.
Plymouth Yarn Happy Feet:
It's lovely 90% Superwash Merino and 10% Nylon. These will be a nice pair of socks!
And last but not least:
Sweet Feet from Hill Country Yarns. The colorway is Blueberry Wine (which always makes me think of the song Strawberry Wine). This will be a pair of Jaywalkers.. someday. >.>
Someday after I'm done Christmas knitting and writing papers.
Oh, here is the progress I've made with my recycled sweater yarn. Actually I don't know if I've mentioned that here. I bought a 100% wool sweater at a second hand store (men's XL) and I frogged it (well all but the back.. or front, they're kind of identical). It should provide enough yarn for a sweater for me, since I'm a men's medium. I decided to make Mr. Greenjeans with it.
Yeah, that's my knee. My dumb camera was almost completely out of batteries so I had to hurriedly take all of these photos in the ever diminishing sunlight.
And one final picture; the reason I love autumn in Ohio.
Sorry for the poor picture quality, this is a fairly old camera that I'm using, since my good camera doesn't agree with my boyfriend's laptop and mine doesn't want to live.
Anyhow, I hope your week is going well!
