Bailout

So they passed the Bailout Rescue Bill. Our government is going to pay $800 billion dollars to banks. $800 billion dollars of our tax money. The money that is taken out of our paychecks for our government to use to take care of us, provide us things like the police force, fire fighters, and competent school systems.

This is great.

If you're a bank.

I'm not.

What exactly makes this a good plan? You're going to give billions of dollars to banks so that the bank can get out of debt. Meanwhile there are thousands of people who are in substantial financial debt due to the predatory lending from these banks. The banks were selling people houses they can't afford. On purpose, not only doing this, but telling them that they could afford it.

Now, it may just be me, but giving them money to bail them out of a hole that they dug for themselves isn't exactly enticing them to change their ways.

The banks are going to be debt free, the public is not, and the banks will continue to sell houses to people who can't afford them.

Barak and McCain voted for this bill.

Now, what I really want to know?

How hard is it to get a citizenship in Cananda?
