Rome is amazing! I love it! It's been the best part of my 5 weeks in Italy.
But, I can't wait to come home tomorrow! It was really hard being away from my boyfriend for this long and I can't wait to see him tomorrow.
I've seen most of Rome today and yesterday.. The Colesseum, The Vatican, Ruins, the river, countless others that I can't remember the names of. I've spent probably like 11 horus the past day and a half just walking around Rome.
Tonight, the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, The Pantheon, Tritan's Fountain, and lots of food!
Ciao!!

Baiardo
Hello!
Italy is great, the kids at camp drive me nuts, but the last day was yesterday so I don't have to worry about that until my camp next week!
Tomorrow I'm going to a little mountain village called Baiardo for a week, ACLE is paying accomodation and food so it's basically a free vacation in a beautiful town. =)
I booked my return flight and I'll be home July 15th. =) I'm excited and a little sad at the same time. I can't wait to see my boyfriend again, but I'll miss Italy.
In knitting news, I've been doing next to nothing because I simply haven't had time. I basically was working form about 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM or so. Camp was from 9-5 and we would get there early to set up and have a meeting to plan the next day afterwards. It didn't leave much free time, because I still had to do a lesson plan of my own when I got home.
That sounds pretty bad, but it was okay because I loved the tutors I worked with and our host family is amazing.
Back to knitting... I should have plenty of time for it next week, which is good since I brought like 7 skiens with me.. lol.
Anyhow, that's it for now.

Alive and well.
It's gorgeous here. I've been eating Gelato every day because it's amazing.
To my SP (I didn't know if I could just hit reply or not... lol) I'll be back around the end of July and I'll let you know the exact date when I know it!
I'm super nervous about going to a camp on Saturday! So soon! I don't know if I'm ready. But it should be fun. We worked with kids today and they were tons of fun.
Ciao ciao.

Quick Quick!
I made it! it was a long, horrible journey and I had to take a 10 hour overnight train but I'm here and it's beautiful.
That's about it
P.S. Intarsia is not good travel knitting.

Bleh
***UPDATE***
I went to the ticket office a little before 7 and there was someone there (There's a 9:45 flight so I'm assuming they were there probably even a little earlier). I told her what happened and she told me there would be a $200 fee to change my flight. That's it! I was so relieved that I didn't have to buy another ticket!!! I'm leaving at the same time I would have yesterday. So I only lost a day (and lots of tears). I'm going to be on my way to Italy in a little over an hour!!
****
I am at JFK, waiting for 7:30 PM to roll around. The Eurofly ticket counter is only open between 7:30PM and 10:30PM everyday, for some reason. So I'm waiting to talk to them and hopefully I won't be out the $550 I spent on a ticket. If I am, I'll have to buy another ticket at full price, I'm guessing upwards of $800, which is a total bummer.
What else is a total bummer is that I have to spend all day at this airport. That will have made 16 hours total in the past day and a half that I've spent waiting in airports.
But luckily I have things to do, like surf the internet, watch all 3 of Pirates of the Carribean, and lots of yarn for knitting. Unfortunately they don't have outlets near seating so I'm sitting on the floor by some pay phones.
I should be in Rome right now! =/
TTFN.

Not
I'm currently in Richmond VA and my flight for Rome leaves in 2 (9:45PM) hours from JFK. My flight that was supposed to leave at 2:30 PM was canceled due to mechanical problems and the one that was supposed to leave at 5 was delayed until 8:50. It's an hour and a half flight to JFK.
You do the math.
I don't know what's going to happen, except that I"m going to miss my flight to Rome.
